Senior AI Engineer

Build production AI systems for major Australian banks, insurers, and retailers across Sydney and Melbourne.

You'll architect and deploy agentic AI solutions that handle real enterprise workloads. This means building memory systems, LLM integrations, and intelligent automation that survive contact with actual users. You'll work directly with clients in financial services, government, and retail while contributing to internal AI standards and tooling.

The team operates hybrid with 1-2 days in office per week. You'll work across multiple clients and industries in a consulting environment that values delivery over research. The company has offices in Sydney and Melbourne with a flat structure where your technical opinions carry weight. They provide unlimited learning access and an internal performance coach to help you grow.

You'll join cross-functional squads with designers and strategists, translating AI concepts into business outcomes. The work spans cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP with proper DevOps pipelines. They're building reference architectures and reusable tooling that makes each project faster than the last.

What You'll Do

• Design and deploy production-grade AI solutions including agentic systems and LLM-powered features for enterprise clients
• Architect cloud-native AI systems with DevOps pipelines and integrate AI capabilities into existing CRM, ERP, and claims platforms
• Lead technical delivery within client teams and implement responsible AI practices including red-teaming and bias testing
• Build reusable tooling and contribute to engineering standards that define production-grade AI at the company

What You'll Need

• Production experience with AI frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, LangGraph, CrewAI, and vector databases
• Strong Python programming with cloud platform expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Data engineering fundamentals including SQL, ETL/ELT, and experience deploying AI systems with proper monitoring
• LLMOps practices including prompt versioning, model drift detection, and understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices
