About this role
Build predictive models for global wagering markets, team of 40, Python stack, Sunshine Coast office.
You'll develop quantitative frameworks and analyse large datasets to identify trading opportunities across horse racing and sports betting markets. Working closely with data engineers and traders, you'll research new modelling approaches and bring strategies from concept to production.
You'll get significant autonomy over how you work. No desk-chaining or micromanagement here. Success gets measured by outcomes, not hours logged. The team trades seven days a week, so you'll be on call occasionally when systems need attention, but you're trusted to manage your own schedule. Some people work four-hour days when that's what the work requires.
The culture runs on high performance and accountability. You'll work alongside quants, engineers and traders in a team of 40 that moves quickly from idea to implementation. They've hired four quants this year and could take six more in the next three months. The company's been profitable every year since 2021, trading with their own capital rather than managing external funds.
