GM Engineering - Platform

Lead the shared engineering platform that underpins every property transaction settled across Australia, New Zealand and the UK.

You'll set the vision and strategy for the group's shared platforms, developer experience and core infrastructure. Day to day that means working alongside engineering leaders to remove friction, setting standards that actually get adopted, and making sure the foundations beneath the products stay reliable as the business grows across three markets.

The company offers quarterly wellness days, four weeks workcation per year working remotely from an approved country, and the ability to purchase up to four additional weeks of annual leave. The engineering environment is cloud-native, and you'll be working at a scale where your decisions land across a global team of over 1,000 people. What You'll Do

• Define and execute platform strategy across cloud-native infrastructure, developer tooling and engineering standards for a global engineering organisation.
• Lead a team of engineering leaders, building a culture where reliability, observability and automation are the default, not the exception.
• Own commercial and vendor relationships, making technology investment decisions that balance performance, cost and long-term scalability.
• Work with engineering teams to develop tooling and approaches that support agentic software development and AI-assisted engineering workflows.

What You'll Need

• Proven leadership of platform or infrastructure engineering at scale, including cloud-native environments across multiple regions.
• Deep experience in developer experience, productivity tooling and driving platform adoption across large engineering organisations.
• Strong background in operational excellence, including observability, resilience engineering and incident management practices.
• Commercial experience managing vendor relationships and technology investment decisions at a senior level.
