Fabric Data Consultant

Hands-on Microsoft Fabric consulting work, enterprise clients, 80%+ remote, $170K-$220K depending on level.

You'll design and deliver end-to-end Microsoft Fabric solutions for enterprise customers, modernising legacy data platforms and building out Lakehouses, Delta Tables and analytics solutions. At Senior level you lead technical delivery. At Principal level you add ownership of client relationships, commercial outcomes and mentoring the consulting team.

The team works almost entirely remotely across Australia, so you're not relocating or commuting for this. AI tooling is genuinely embedded into how they deliver, not a slide in a sales deck. Every consultant uses Claude, GitHub Copilot and other AI assistants as standard delivery tools, which means less time on repetitive tasks and more time on the work that actually requires your expertise.

This is a specialist consultancy, seven years in, that has stayed deliberately focused on the Microsoft Data and AI ecosystem rather than spreading thin across every cloud platform. That focus means the work stays relevant and the team around you knows the stack deeply. Projects vary across industries, so you'll see different business problems without changing employers. At Principal level there's real ownership of engagements, client relationships and pipeline, which suits someone who wants more than pure technical delivery without moving into a purely management role.

What You'll Do

• Design and build enterprise Microsoft Fabric solutions including Lakehouses, Delta Tables and end-to-end analytics platforms.
• Run technical workshops and architecture sessions directly with enterprise customers to shape solution design.
• Use AI-assisted development tools including Claude and GitHub Copilot as part of standard project delivery.
• (Principal) Lead enterprise engagements end-to-end, covering delivery, client relationships, commercial outcomes and consultant mentoring.

What You'll Need

• Proven commercial experience delivering Microsoft Fabric projects in an enterprise context.
• Background building modern analytics and data platforms across the Microsoft Data and AI ecosystem.
• Client-facing consulting experience with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• (Principal) Experience leading enterprise consulting engagements and managing delivery commercially.
