DevOps Engineer

Six-month contract, enterprise AWS environment, hybrid Melbourne, immediate start.

You'll work across AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code to keep business-critical platforms running and improving. Day to day that means building and maintaining pipelines in Jenkins or Harness, writing Terraform or CloudFormation templates, and supporting deployment automation across dev, test, and production environments.

This is a hybrid role based in Melbourne, so you're not in the office every day. The environment is enterprise-scale, which means the infrastructure you're working on underpins genuinely critical services. You'll be working with a modern DevOps toolchain including Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and Bash scripting alongside your cloud and pipeline work.

The contract is six months with extension potential, so there's room to settle in and build something worth staying for. You'll sit inside an Agile delivery team, joining sprint ceremonies and working directly with engineers, architects, and product owners. It's a hands-on individual contributor role with real breadth across cloud, automation, and observability.

What You'll Do

• Design, maintain, and troubleshoot AWS infrastructure to support enterprise-grade applications and services.
• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and/or Harness across development, test, and production environments.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation, including reusable templates and automation frameworks.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions, and support incident response and root cause analysis.

What You'll Need

• Solid AWS experience across cloud infrastructure design, deployment, and operational support.
• Hands-on CI/CD pipeline experience with Jenkins and/or Harness, plus Bash scripting.
• Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform and/or CloudFormation, with Git for source control.
• Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes, and experience with monitoring and observability tooling.
