Data Engineer

Build the data platform that powers Victoria's transport infrastructure, team of engineers, AWS and Databricks stack.

You'll design and maintain data pipelines that feed analytics and reporting across the state's road network. Working with AWS, Databricks, and Spark, you'll integrate data from multiple sources and ensure it's reliable and accessible for business intelligence.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS, Databricks, Spark, and dbt
• Integrate data from various sources into the enterprise platform with proper governance
• Apply data quality checks and monitoring to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to technical standards and documentation

What You'll Need

• 3-4+ years building data pipelines with AWS, Databricks/Spark, dbt, and Kafka
• Strong SQL and Python skills with distributed data processing experience
• Experience with Terraform, Azure DevOps, CI/CD practices, and streaming architectures
• Understanding of data governance, quality standards, and security best practices
