AI Fullstack Engineer

Build AI agent workflows used daily by consultants at leading strategy firms, working directly with the founding team.

You'll own features end-to-end across a modern async Python and React stack, building and refining the AI workflows that help consulting teams produce better work faster. That spans async API design in FastAPI, agent orchestration via Temporal and Pydantic AI, and a document pipeline that takes rich text editing in ProseMirror all the way through to polished Word and PowerPoint output.

The team ships on AWS, with Bedrock and Claude powering the AI layer, Aurora PostgreSQL and DocumentDB handling data, and CDK managing infrastructure as code. Observability is taken seriously too, with structlog and Logfire baked in rather than bolted on. You'll be working in a codebase where tests run against real data and clean architecture actually matters, not just as a talking point.

This is an early team, so your fingerprints will be on the product and the architecture in a meaningful way. You'll work directly with the founders, which means short feedback loops and real input into what gets built next. The equity is meaningful given where they are in the journey, and there's genuine support for learning and development. The company is also committed to hybrid flexibility. The trade-off is that it's a startup, so you'll need to be comfortable with ambiguity and comfortable moving before every best practice has settled.

What You'll Do

• Own features from async API design through to React UI delivery, end-to-end.
• Build and optimise AI agent workflows using Pydantic AI, AWS Bedrock, and Temporal orchestration.
• Work across the document pipeline, from ProseMirror rich text editing to DOCX and PowerPoint output.
• Work directly with the founding team to shape product direction and technical architecture.

What You'll Need

• 3+ years of professional experience with strong async Python skills, including FastAPI, Pydantic, and clean architecture patterns.
• Solid PostgreSQL data modelling with Alembic, SQLModel, or SQLAlchemy, plus comfort working across relational and document databases.
• React frontend experience and AWS production experience across services like Lambdas, ECS, S3, and API Gateway.
• Hands-on experience with AI agent frameworks or orchestration tools is a strong advantage, as is Temporal experience.
