AI Engineer

Build production AI applications for enterprise clients across multiple industries, AWS-native stack, growing practice with real engineering investment.

You'll design and ship LLM-powered applications using Amazon Bedrock, build Python APIs and backend services, and integrate generative and agentic AI into enterprise workflows. This is hands-on engineering work across a portfolio of client projects, not internal tooling or proof-of-concept builds.

The role is three days in the Sydney office and two from home. You'll work across a variety of enterprise client engagements, which means the problems stay interesting and the stack stays current. AWS is the core platform, with Amazon Bedrock as the primary service for generative and agentic AI work. The team is growing quickly and there's genuine investment behind it, both in headcount and in the tools you'll use day to day.

This is a consultancy environment, so you'll be across multiple projects at once and working with client-side technical teams as well as internal architects and cloud engineers. The upside is that you're not stuck in one codebase or one domain. You get exposure to how different enterprises are actually approaching AI at scale, and you'll have a real say in how the practice shapes its architecture standards and delivery approach going forward. Experience with Kiro is a bonus that'll be noticed.

What You'll Do

• Design and build production AI applications on AWS using Amazon Bedrock for generative and agentic AI solutions.
• Integrate LLMs into enterprise applications and workflows across multiple client engagements.
• Build Python-based APIs and backend services that are secure, reliable and production-ready.
• Work alongside architects, cloud engineers and client teams to deliver high-quality outcomes across projects.

What You'll Need

• Commercial experience as an AI Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer or similar role.
• Strong AWS skills including hands-on experience with Amazon Bedrock and LLM-powered application development.
• Solid Python development skills and experience with cloud-native infrastructure and deployment.
• Understanding of prompt engineering, RAG and AI application architecture. Experience with Kiro is highly desirable.
