– AWS Migration About the Role We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to support the migration of enterprise infrastructure and applications from on-premises environments to Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimising secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions while working closely with infrastructure, security, networking, and application teams. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on AWS experience, a solid background in traditional infrastructure environments, and proven experience delivering cloud transformation or migration projects.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement AWS cloud infrastructure aligned with business and technical requirements Lead and support migration activities from on-premises environments to AWS Assess existing infrastructure, applications, and workloads for cloud readiness Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation Configure and manage core AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, S3, Route 53, and CloudWatch Implement networking, security, backup, and disaster recovery best practices within AWS Support hybrid connectivity solutions including VPNs and Direct Connect Automate deployment, monitoring, and operational processes Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure smooth migration delivery Monitor and optimise cloud environments for performance, availability, and cost efficiency Troubleshoot infrastructure, connectivity, and cloud platform issues Maintain documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures

Skills

& Experience Required Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or Systems Engineer Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services Experience migrating workloads from on-premises infrastructure to AWS Strong understanding of Windows and/or Linux server administration Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V Knowledge of networking concepts including DNS, routing, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancing Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Desirable AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or DevOps Engineer) Experience with container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes Experience with monitoring and logging platforms Exposure to security and compliance frameworks Scripting experience using PowerShell, Python, or Bash
