You're joining a 5-person engineering team where AI tools like Claude and Cursor handle the grunt work while you focus on architecture and judgment calls.

What You'll Do

Modernise Databricks lakehouse foundation with Unity Catalog governance and Delta Lake performance tuning Build reliable data integration patterns for high-volume SaaS ingestion with proper retry logic and freshness SLAs Design data products and contracts that feed forecasting, optimisation, and automation modules downstream Implement AI-powered DataOps capabilities like auto-triage, anomaly detection, and self-healing workflows

What You'll Need

Production Databricks experience with Spark, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog implementation Strong Python/PySpark and SQL skills with data modelling expertise in medallion architecture Experience with modern ELT tools like dbt plus AWS data platform fundamentals Proven track record using AI tools to multiply engineering output and quality
