Role details
Security Engineer role blending DevSecOps and platform engineering, AWS-first stack, Melbourne preferred.
You'll work across the full security and platform engineering surface, from CI/CD pipeline security and infrastructure as code through to cloud compliance and DevSecOps practices on AWS. This sits at the intersection of security and engineering, so you'll need to be comfortable on both sides of that line.
The team works on AWS, and you'll be getting hands-on with Bedrock and agent core components alongside the platform engineering work. If you've come up through DevOps and drifted toward security, or the other way around, this role suits that profile well. The one honest caveat is that experience with Observability, Incident Management, and On-Call tooling is nice to have rather than a hard requirement. Everything else on the list is.
Melbourne is the preference, but Sydney-based applicants will be considered. The role is permanent, so you're looking at a long-term position rather than a contract engagement.
What You'll Do
- Design and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code across AWS environments.
- Work with Bedrock and agent core components as part of the broader platform engineering function.
- Own security and compliance across cloud platforms, bringing DevSecOps practices into day-to-day engineering work.
- Support container and orchestration security alongside the platform engineering team.
What You'll Need
- Solid AWS experience, including Bedrock and familiarity with agent core components.
- Hands-on background in DevOps or Platform Engineering, with confidence across CI/CD and infrastructure as code.
- Security and compliance skills covering DevSecOps, cloud platforms, and container orchestration.
- Experience with image security is required.
