Deploy production AI into a Big Four bank and US government agencies, writing real code inside client environments from day one.
You'll embed directly within enterprise and government client sites to deploy an AI platform against hard commercial outcomes. That means owning the full technical scope, from architecture decisions through to production, writing code throughout, and managing the senior stakeholder relationship without a safety net beneath you.
The working arrangement is primarily remote and outcome-focused. You're measured on what ships, not when you log on. On-site client work is part of the role, so you'll need to be East Coast-based (Sydney preferred) if you're in Australia, or West Coast-based if you're in the US. The base salary sits at around $250,000 AUD or USD depending on location, with genuine room to move for the right person.
Beyond the base, you can choose between ESOP participation or a cash bonus tied to revenue milestones. The ESOP pool has already been distributed and topped up twice since the company was founded, so this isn't theoretical upside. The team is small and distributed, with regular in-person off-sites to keep things tight. You'll also feed what you learn in the field directly back into the product roadmap, which means your work shapes what gets built next. Some of the deployments here are among the first public-facing generative AI use cases in US government. That's a specific kind of résumé entry that doesn't come along often.
What You'll Do
- Embed on-site and remotely within enterprise and government environments to deploy and configure the AI platform against agreed technical outcomes.
- Own all technical deliverables end-to-end, from initial scoping and architecture through to production deployment, independently.
- Build and integrate AI/ML-powered solutions into customers' existing cloud and CX infrastructure, writing hands-on code throughout.
- Identify risks and scope gaps early, resolve them before they escalate, and feed customer learnings back into internal product and engineering teams.
What You'll Need
- Hands-on software development experience you can demonstrate in a codebase, not just describe.
- Production experience with generative AI and LLM-based workflows, delivered as a core technical contributor.
- Solid AWS or GCP experience, with the ability to deploy and operate AI workloads inside customer-controlled cloud environments.
- A provable track record of owning technical outcomes end-to-end in high-pressure, customer-facing delivery settings.
