Role details
Lead the Azure platform powering a portfolio of travel booking applications, from infrastructure to full-stack delivery, based in Broadbeach.
You'll own the Azure environment end-to-end, writing bicep, managing Container Apps, API Management, and Key Vault, while also shipping production code across a React/TypeScript front-end and .NET back-end. You'll build API integrations connecting accommodation, air, and inventory platforms into live booking systems, and lead the team's adoption of agentic AI tools including Claude Code and GitHub Copilot.
The office sits beachfront in Broadbeach, and the team gets travel discounts through the company's rewards programme. The tech environment is modern throughout, with CI/CD running across Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions, and a stack that's been built with observability and PCI-compliant payment handling in mind. You'll work directly with the Head of Engineering and Solution Architect, holding real autonomy over technical decisions for the team.
The role shifts between infrastructure and full-stack engineering as the business grows internationally, so the mix won't be static. What you get in return is genuine scope: setting the standards for how the team uses AI tooling, owning code quality through peer review, and shaping architectural delivery as a discipline. Volunteer leave, health and wellbeing programmes, and financial advisory access round out the package.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and operate Azure infrastructure using bicep, Container Apps, API Management, and Key Vault across current and future architecture.
- Deliver full-stack engineering on B2X travel booking applications built on React/TypeScript and .NET, hosted on Azure.
- Build and maintain API integrations connecting internal and external platforms for live accommodation, air, and inventory connectivity.
- Lead the team's adoption of agentic AI engineering tools, setting patterns and mentoring others to lift overall capability.
What You'll Need
- 5+ years as a Technical Lead, with hands-on Azure infrastructure experience including microservices architecture and IaC via bicep.
- Strong full-stack development skills across .NET, RESTful APIs, Entity Framework, relational databases, and React/TypeScript.
- Solid experience managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Octopus Deploy, with working knowledge of DevOps and SRE practices.
- Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, with Azure certifications highly regarded. Dynamics 365 Business Central or AWS experience is a bonus.
